Shabby Chic Spring Tag

I was inspired to make this 4" x 6" tag by Laura Denison of Following the Paper Trail who is hosting a swap (I'm not entering the swap as couldn't be bothered to make 9!) and it gradually took on a life of its own as I decided instead to enter it into a couple of challenges and create a birthday present.

I used background papers by Prima, a Stampington Stamp, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, Sissix die, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Tea Dye Distress Ink and flat back pearls.

The front of the tag has a pocket which holds a card with room on the back for a personal message ...

And for the back of the main tag I have made a small envelope to hold a gift card ...

I like how it turned out - the colours a bit 'softer' in real life.

The tag is entered in Mojo Monday challenge (a card pattern), The Stampman Challenge (I used recipe Fabric, Circle, Metal) and The Fashionable Stamper challenge which is Spring

  1. I love to see the first project entered Jacqui and your tag is perfect for our Spring challenge. Great flowers, pretty butterfly with such an adorable stamp, those papers gel with everything especially the pretty piece of lace.

Thank you for sharing with us at Fashionable Stamping Challenges.
